Maintaining your JOSCAR Zero questionnaire

How to renew your JOSCAR Zero questionnaire

To ensure you continue to demonstrate your commitment to decarbonisation and reaching Net Zero, please provide your latest year of reporting data as soon as it is available. If you have not provided this within a year of your last reporting period, we will contact you to make you aware that your data is out of date.

To provide a new year of data, please navigate to the JOSCAR Zero tab, click on the site that needs new data and click on the 'Add New Year' button and then select the latest year from the dropdown. This will create a new year card on your year page for that site. From here, please click on the 'Questionnaire' button on the card and enter your latest reporting data. Please note, the reporting year will automatically populate based on your original reporting period.


How to provide a historic year of data

To provide a historic year of data, please navigate to the JOSCAR Zero tab, click on the site that you wish to add data to and click on the 'Add New Year' button and then select the relevant year from the dropdown. This will create a new year card on your year page for that site. From here, please click on the 'Questionnaire' button on the card and enter your latest reporting data. Please note, the reporting year will automatically populate based on your original reporting period.


How to update your information

It is important that your information is kept up-to-date at all times. In addition to the annual renewal process, you will be able to access and update any of your information throughout the year. There are typically a number of key triggers for updating your information:

  • A customer has nominated one of your sites to complete the JOSCAR Zero questionnaire, to provide them with visibility of the carbon emissions attributable to them from that site

  • Another customer of your company has joined the community and your information needs to be updated to be relevant to the goods or services you supply to them

  • New questions have been added to the questionnaire by the buying organisations and they cannot wait for your annual renewal before they are answered

Before making an update, you must first unlock your questionnaire. To do this, log into the system as normal and navigate to your questionnaire. You will notice that the questions are locked and cannot be updated. To unlock them, click the update button.

Clicking the button will bring up a confirmation message, click 'YES' to continue to unlock and update your questionnaire.

Any updates you make to your questionnaire will NOT be visible to buyers until your changes have been submitted once more.
